WoodBlock Wednesday - Custom Rubber Stamps & Card Idea

Happy Woodblock Wednesday!! I am so excited to have been working with Amy on this amazing project. I have been a Super Sponsor for the CoffeeLoverBlogHops since 2015!! April 1,2024 is the 19th Anniversary for JessicaLynnOriginal.com. I have been working on a children's book and a new YouTube Channel, ArtistryinCards.

The first sample I am making is using one of my custom rubber stamps with my Logo for my company. Creating handmade 'Thank you' Cards are so easy and fun. I used distress ink and an amazing cloud stencil from A Colorful Life Design. I just cut the cardstock to 2.5x3.5 inches and then folded in half. This is perfect for a little note to my customers.

The second card that I am making is using some vintage Stampin' Up Wood Block stamps, a digital stamp from my store (Daisy Gnome), hand drawing, distress ink, black ink, and copic markers.

Basic Steps I followed for this Card:

  1. I began by using my cherished distress ink set: Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Amber, and Carved Pumpkin. With a stencil, I created a vivid and dynamic background that truly captivated me with its blending. I had a pack of stickers with sentiments - picked my favorite!
  2. Following that, I switched gears to a 4x6 sheet of Copic Marker Paper and stamped the charming jar from Stampin' Up, a set I've adored for ages. Being a fan of stamps that ignite creativity, I find endless joy in using them.
  3. As an artist, I have a tendency to add my personal touch to projects, and this one was no exception. I decided to fill the jar with Easter candy, drawing adorable images to bring it to life.
  4. Next, I brought in my latest digital stamp of the Daisy Gnome and colored everything with Copics. Finally, I assembled the images onto the bold background using foam risers. I'm absolutely enamored with the colors I selected and can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Custom Rubber Stamps

There's something deeply personal and gratifying about translating a piece of artwork or a cherished logo into a tangible form like a custom rubber stamp. It's akin to bringing your creative vision to life in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. Whether it's a hand-drawn illustration or a meticulously designed logo, the process of transforming it into a stamp holds a sense of craft and connection that resonates with me. If you've ever dreamed of having a custom stamp that reflects your unique style or brand, match your company, wedding, or new house return address, back of your cards, or anything you can dream up.

This is the custom woodblock stamp
that I created for Amy.
I'd be honored to help bring that vision to fruition. There's joy in being able to contribute to someone else's creative journey and witness the delight that comes from seeing their ideas take shape in a practical yet artistic form. I love being able to draw and design a custom stamp for my customers.
