A Jolly Tropical Santa Coffee Card – Holiday Cheer for Coffee Lovers!
This handmade card features a whimsical coffee cup adorned with a Santa Claus in a swimsuit, embracing a fun and relaxed holiday vibe. The Santa image is a digital stamp from my Etsy shop, JLMould.etsy.com, and I brought him to life with Masters Touch colored pencils. The bright, cheerful colors add a playful feel, making Santa look like he's ready for some tropical holiday cheer! The red snowflake background paper frames the image beautifully, adding a pop of seasonal color and a subtle wintery touch, while the sentiment "Wishing you love & hugs" brings warmth and joy to the design. It's a lighthearted take on Christmas that’s sure to bring a smile to any coffee lover’s face.
Creating handmade cards like this one is a fantastic way to add a personal touch to the holiday season. Card making lets you experiment with endless styles, colors, and textures, making each card unique and heartfelt. Adding digital stamps, colored pencils, and fun background papers opens up so many creative possibilities. This Santa coffee cup card is also a great entry for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, where crafters come together to celebrate coffee-inspired designs. With a blend of humor and charm, this card is perfect for spreading holiday cheer to friends and family, especially those who adore both coffee and Christmas!

Brewing Up Memories: Reimagining Brentwood Owl for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
I thought it would be fun to bring back an older design I drew for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop back in 2016—a completely different era! Brentwood Owl, a character close to my heart, has always loved the coffee hop, and I couldn't resist revisiting this nostalgic artwork. Using the original digital image, I printed and brought it to life with Copic markers, adding rich layers of color and shading to give Brentwood that familiar, cozy vibe. To highlight him on the card, I used a circle punch to frame the image, giving it a classic touch that brings all the attention to his cheerful expression.
For the sentiment, I wanted something fresh and fitting, so I went with "A Little Caffeine and a Lot of Love." It felt perfect for Brentwood and added a warm, uplifting feel to the card. There’s something so satisfying about bringing out vintage images and breathing new life into them—it’s like giving an old friend a new story. This project was a joyful journey down memory lane, and I love how the card turned out, combining nostalgia with a modern twist.
Love this leaf paper that I found at the Hobby Lobby.

Crafting Cozy Vibes: How to Create a Coffee-Themed Card with Stencils, Distress Oxide, and Hand-Drawn Details
Creating a coffee-themed card is such a rewarding project, especially when you can layer textures and details to give it a warm, cozy feel! I started by creating a brick background, which adds a charming, rustic vibe to the card. Using a stencil with Distress Oxide inks, I layered various shades of brown and gray to mimic a weathered brick wall, blending the colors carefully to achieve that rich, vintage look. The soft, chalky finish of Distress Oxide works perfectly here, adding depth and interest to the background while still keeping the overall design subtle enough to let the coffee cup stand out.
For the coffee cup centerpiece, I used a Waffle Flower die cut to give it a fun and realistic shape. After assembling the cup, I added a personal touch by hand-drawing a white swirl pattern with an acrylic paint pen, giving it the look of foam art or a decorative detail you’d find on a to-go cup. The fine, opaque lines contrast beautifully against the cup, adding a pop of brightness and a hint of whimsy. To complete the card, I added a sentiment that ties it all together—something uplifting that would bring a smile to any coffee lover's face. The end result is a beautifully layered card that captures the warmth of a favorite coffee spot and the charm of handmade design.
