Handmade Easter Card Tutorial: Easter Spring Chicken Vibrant Colors and Rubber Stamps
MyFavoriteThings - Sketch Challenge 687
I have this adorable bee that I drew up a few years ago as a digital stamp he is a fat swishy bee. I have been looking for an excuse to use him and my honey comb stencils with my distress oxide inks. I was able to choose a yellow and grey for the inks to make up the background.
How digital stamps work:
- Download the Digital Stamp: After purchasing or obtaining the digital stamp, download it to your computer or device. It's usually in a common image format like JPEG or PNG.
- Prepare Your Workspace: Open your preferred software for digital art creation. I used Miscrosoft work or Google Docs to import the image and print it off. Adjust the size and position of the digital stamp as needed for your project. Most software allows you to resize and move objects easily using tools like the Transform or Move tool.
- Print or Share: Finally, you can print your digital stamp artwork on paper or share it digitally with others. If printing, use high-quality paper and settings for the best results.
For the yellow paper cuts I used my Brother Scan N' Cut to cut out the oval, flags, and banner. They are all standard cut options that the computer knows so it made it easy to do those. Glued the card together, added the sentimate sticker, and it was ready to use. I love how this came together and the bee looks like it is looking out a front door of the honey comb!!
WoodBlock Wednesday - Custom Rubber Stamps & Card Idea
Happy Woodblock Wednesday!! I am so excited to have been working with Amy on this amazing project. I have been a Super Sponsor for the CoffeeLoverBlogHops since 2015!! April 1,2024 is the 19th Anniversary for JessicaLynnOriginal.com. I have been working on a children's book and a new YouTube Channel, ArtistryinCards.
The first sample I am making is using one of my custom rubber stamps with my Logo for my company. Creating handmade 'Thank you' Cards are so easy and fun. I used distress ink and an amazing cloud stencil from A Colorful Life Design. I just cut the cardstock to 2.5x3.5 inches and then folded in half. This is perfect for a little note to my customers.
Basic Steps I followed for this Card:
- I began by using my cherished distress ink set: Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Amber, and Carved Pumpkin. With a stencil, I created a vivid and dynamic background that truly captivated me with its blending. I had a pack of stickers with sentiments - picked my favorite!
- Following that, I switched gears to a 4x6 sheet of Copic Marker Paper and stamped the charming jar from Stampin' Up, a set I've adored for ages. Being a fan of stamps that ignite creativity, I find endless joy in using them.
- As an artist, I have a tendency to add my personal touch to projects, and this one was no exception. I decided to fill the jar with Easter candy, drawing adorable images to bring it to life.
- Next, I brought in my latest digital stamp of the Daisy Gnome and colored everything with Copics. Finally, I assembled the images onto the bold background using foam risers. I'm absolutely enamored with the colors I selected and can't wait to hear your thoughts!

We have FOUR Brand new Digital Stamps!
Digital rubber stamps operate on a fascinating blend of traditional crafting techniques and modern digital technology, offering a convenient and versatile way to create customized designs. The process begins with crafting or selecting the desired design using digital illustration software or graphic design tools. This could range from hand-drawn artwork scanned into a digital format to intricate designs created entirely within a computer program. Once the design is finalized, it's crucial to ensure that it meets the technical specifications required for stamp production, such as resolution and file format.
Next, the digital design is transferred to specialized software or hardware that interfaces with a laser engraving machine. This machine uses high-precision lasers to etch the design onto a rubber stamp material, typically made of high-quality rubber or polymer. The laser precisely cuts away the negative space around the design, leaving behind a raised relief pattern that will transfer ink onto paper when the stamp is pressed. This process allows for incredibly fine detail and crisp lines, ensuring that even intricate designs are faithfully reproduced. After the stamp is engraved, it's mounted onto a sturdy backing, such as a wooden block or acrylic handle, to facilitate easy handling and use.
Digital rubber stamps offer a plethora of advantages over traditional rubber stamps, including greater design flexibility, faster production times, and the ability to reproduce intricate designs with unparalleled precision. Additionally, digital stamps can be easily stored and duplicated, making them ideal for mass production or repetitive tasks. Whether you're a seasoned crafter looking to add a personal touch to your projects or a business owner seeking to brand your products with a distinctive logo, digital rubber stamps provide a versatile and efficient solution for all your stamping needs.
