Alright, lets make a card. I love using the digitals especially with two kids, my time is just not there. So I love being able to see an image and work with it right away. (don't get me wrong I love clear & wood block stamps too) I am really working on my Distress Oxide skills and I think they are getting better. I love being able to create some very original backgrounds. As you can see I created a Moon, or something kinda looks like a moon! ;) -- I thought "Hold on tight to your dreams.." all the way to the Moon. The is the adorable digital image you get go and pick up for free. I left his coffee cup white without a sentiment so you can design what his cup says.

In 2024, one of my goals was to delve into the world of card making challenges found across various blogs. Although it took some time to get organized, I recently participated in my second My Favorite Things challenge. Utilizing a vibrant paper pack called "Chasing Rainbows" from Hobby Lobby, I was captivated by its array of rainbow colors, glitter, and embellishments, allowing me to focus more on the card's design than the background.
For this particular card, I opted for a digital rubber stamp from JessicaLynnOriginal Studios, one that my talented 6-year-old daughter had drawn herself. Her enthusiasm to contribute to the website and save earnings for her future deeply inspired me as both an entrepreneur and a mother. Following the sketch challenge guidelines, I incorporated distress oxides to create a sweeping grassy landscape at the card's base, enhancing its visual appeal.
I am so happy with the way this card turned out! I am going to give it to my daughter!

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #532
One of my goals for 2024 is to start making more cards and being part of more challenges and swaps. I love it and I really missed the creative side of cardmaking. As I am working on my first book the more I can test out and play with the distress oxide inks the better by book will be. I can't wait to share the next step with you.
My new card for the CAS colors & sketches challenge #532. I used the colors that they suggested for the challenge alongside of one of my digital stamps, DaisyGnome from www.jessicalynnoriginal.com
I really love how well the colors worked out and I was able to use stencils and distress oxide for the background and I did me best to only use those colors for the background and sky as well. He looks sooo happy out in the forest enjoying the sites and sounds of spring!
